Before & After: Japanese Inspired in SW Portland
In many ways this was a typical Ross NW Watergardens project. The client wanted a landscape that was:
- Japanese inspired.
- Low maintenance.
- Increased privacy.
But in other ways it was very unusual:
- The property had been neglected and was overrun with invasives.
- It had large trees that were hazardous and had to be removed.
- The owners were moving to Portland from the Mojave desert so they had little knowledge of our plant material.
We started with a landscape design, going from initial consultation to completed design in about 7 weeks. We then made some concessions for their budget and signed a contract for the installation. The project went very well and we are all happy with it.
What do you think? Was the project a success?
