Here at Ross NW Watergardens we love natural stone.

Our landscape designs are full of masonry and hardscape features. Patios, fire features, water features, paths, walls, and columns all are best when real stone is used. Boulder groupings are a trademark element of our gardens.

But where does all this landscape rock come from? Where do we buy our boulders, slate, and stepping stones?

Our Four Favorite Rock Suppliers:

Smith Rock. Our favorite, by far. Lou and his team have a great selection, from the standards (bluestone and basalt) to the unusual (agatized wood). We get slate, flagstone, black beach pebbles, echo chambers, and more here. They are incredibly helpful, getting you in and out of their SE Johnson Creek Blvd yard as quickly as possible. And if you need something special? They will find it, manufacture it, and get it in town for your project. Plus, the office is really cool.
Pacific Stonescape. Another great stone supplier for the person who really loves stone. They have a great selection and are the only place in the area with a good selection of granite garden statuary- a must for Japanese garden design! The only downside is location... in Albany.
Oregon Decorative Rock. The most homeowner-friendly of the bunch, Oregon Decorative Rock has a small, but well curated selection of landscape and masonry stone. Just be prepared for prices that are very retail.
